You’ve tried everything. They’ve been a bust, or kinda worked but you couldn’t quite reach your goals or maybe as life threw curve balls and the kitchen sink at you, you slipped and fell back into old ways. I get it – change is hard, healing is hard, acceptance is hard, life is hard.
Everybody needs help at one point or another. Some support, some compassion, some understanding. Somebody to talk to, to listen, to stand by your side when the going is tough, to face that big obstacle and navigate uncertain waters, devise a strategy, stick to it and overcome. You are looking for an ally to have your back, sift through the barrage of information overload, bounce around options, game-plan, attack, maximize, win.
That’s coaching.
The somebody to stand by your side.
The ally who has your back.
Coaching is a dynamic partnership between you and I that via a thought provoking, even paradigm altering, creative and awakening process you can achieve a higher level of health, wellbeing and performance.
What coaching isn’t is yet more therapy or another treatment. These modalities hold limiting views. Patients are assumed as having something wrong with them and therefore incapable of taking responsibility for their own health and wellbeing. Far too often that ends up with another prescription for yet another cure-all wonder pill for your ill.
Coaching flips the script. Instead of telling you, coaching co-discovers, co-explores and co-creates. Instead of the quick fix, coaching supports, guides and when appropriate challenges you on a journey of real and lasting lifestyle and behavior changes.
Therapy is looking to fix an assumed broken you.
Coaching is about igniting and empowering your inner hero and healer.
And remember…

Now, all coaches are unique and I definitely put my own twist or two on the nuts and bolts of it.
